Lomi Lomi Hawaiian Massage
This is a gentle wave like massage originating from Polynesian Shamans that came to settle in Hawaii. Some say it oriniated from the mystical land of Mu. Just like the Indian Head Massage, children were taught it by their elders. How beautiful is that? A community where family members shared their gifts and connected with this deeply spiritual massage. Lomi Lomi massage can also be referred to as Kahuna bodywork. There are Shamanic beliefs around the Lomi Lomi massage which I bring into the treatment. I also use my experience as an energy healer to guide my hands. 'Lomi Lomi' translates as 'rub rub' in Hawaiian. This reflects the long fluid strokes used by fingers, thumbs, palms, arms and elbows. These are conscious movements that flow rhythmically from head to toe. I maybe drawn to areas where there is an imbalance in the emotional and physical body and will focus here to release the energy flow.

Before the treatment I will do a consultation with the client which will inform me of their requirements. Afterwards we reflect, whereby I pass on any information that I picked up upon during the massage. I use high quality essential oil blends with a base oil which the client will tune into and choose for their massage.
This is a full body massage and because of the nature of the long flowing movements it is best advised to remove all clothing. I provide a paper thong and a colourful tropical sarong (after all, we have to imagine we are on a Hawaiian beach!). All modesty is covered up by the sarong. The oil blend is warmed and an electric blanket will be provided if need be. The Lomi Lomi massage is like no other. A deeply relaxing experience where you can drift off to the ebb and flow of the ocean. Benefits
