Myofascial Release
This is a specialised treatment that releases restrictions within the fascial network which is connective tissue. The network of collagen and elastic fibre is a fascia protective system, a ground substance fluid that runs through the body. If there is not enough, the fascia becomes dehydrated and hardened tissue can become supple, hydrated and mobile.
I use a palpation method to assess the function and structure of the body. This allows for me to assess which techniques to use. The treatment is gentle and the client may feel that not much is occurring during it. However they should feel very relaxed, lighter and "freer" after it.
The myofascial release treatment restores muscle function and postural alignment, Breathing capacity and energy levels are increased. Balance within the body is restored promoting relaxation and self healing.
An initial free consultation helps me to understand what my clients requirements are. Personally, I would advise combining a myofascial treatment with a therapeutic or deep tissue massage. All of my treatments are tailor made for the clients requirements so this will be discussed in the consultation.
