Preparing to Return/ Covid-19

As of today Reflexology and Massage therapists are permitted to practise in the UK. Whoop! Whoop! Facials, Indian Head Massage and Ayurvedic Face Lift are presently off the menu.
I'm not rushing back as there is much to prepare (and a camping trip on the horizon). Also government guidelines are stilling evolving.
Last week I completed my 'Covid-19 Health, Safety and Hygiene Returning to Work' certificate. However risk assessments, client questionnaire/ declaration forms, ordering PPE supplies, how clients are booked in and paying methods are just some of the considerations I have to undertake. This is intricate as I offer an eclectic mix of therapies as a mobile therapist and in two different clinics. I look forwards to practising again very soon.

Good news for Northern Ireland as the Executive Office has allowed for Reflexologists and Masseuses to reopen 6th July. However no clear guidelines have been given for 'close contact businesses'.
This is a bit of a waiting game but it is vital we get it right when we return. I've had some of my regular clients contact me and I'd love to be able to reconnect soon. Realistically if the UK is given the thumbs up, I won't be returning till September for 'close contact' therapies. This will be inline with government guidelines and my associations' advice.
Much gratitude to MP Caroline Nokes who is fighting complementary therapists corner in the Houses of Parliament . Hopefully not much longer before we can return in the UK where massage will no longer be a distant memory like that sunny foreign holiday 🌞🏖
